Hair and Makeup

I HIGHLY recommend professional hair and makeup for my senior girls! If you want a stress-free fun experience from top to bottom, taking hair and makeup off of your plate is the first step! The wonderful ladies I recommend for hair and makeup will take care of all of that for you! They are trained to know what makeup looks best on camera - matte vs high gloss options, less glitter more pigment and that type of thing! I am by no means a makeup guru, but I know the difference in photos! Certain things photograph best and while your makeup may look FABOULOUS in person, it will translate different on camera. If makeup and hair isn’t in the budget, then my main tips are to add a little lip color, even if you don’t usually, make sure your brows are filled evenly if you like to do them and go slightly darker on the blush/contour for the camera. Even if you are an “all natural” gal, a little mascara and subtle lip color will help your features pop!

What to Wear

This part is totally up to you, but I have some tips and tricks that can help the decision making process! I always recommend bringing a variety of outfits - from casual to dressy! For girls, a favorite dress or romper and heels, cute jeans and a bright colored sweater, your favorite top and shorts etc! For fall, ankle boots and sweaters are my favorites (boots obsessed gal right here), for spring and summer, rompers and summery dresses are amazing! Don’t be afraid to add a pop of color! Blue, teal, burgundy and berry colors look great on most people. Wear styles that make you feel confident and comfortable and don’t be afraid to throw in an outfit that is outside the box! For guys, I love a classic Henley type shirt or a collared button up! Don't be afraid to layer! Adding a denim jacket or layering a collared shirt under a sweater are a couple ways to mix it up! A chambray shirt with a collar is a great way to stay casual but classic. Feel free to browse through my blog to see what photographs well and which styles you like!
