Kaylie / Senior Rep Class of 2018

Yes, another ballerina is on the blog!! I love working with dancers because of their natural poise and grace. Kaylie is one of my Class of 2017 senior reps and we ventured out to a new location for her mini session to get her some beautiful images to share! Check out that amazing field of flowers! I'm SO obsessed with the summery vibe and vibrant colors we got with this session! And it wasn't even a sunny day - we barely beat the rain! Thanks for shooting with me Kaylie!

Ballet / Elianna

These long wet winter months have one plus for me - I get to spend time experimenting and trying new things! This was one of those shoots for me! Most of my portraits are done in soft, glowing natural light out-doors, while this was done indoors (this was still using natural light though from a beautiful large window). I also got a chance to experiment with taking a few video clips in the studio as Elianna stretched and warmed up - if you know anything about dancing, it takes a good 20-30 minutes to get those muscles ready to fly!
